Club News

  • Club Record Broken Again!
    Congratulations to Biz Khan who has broken the Portsmouth club record again with another great score of 567.
  • Indoor League 2019
    We’re going to try a round of the month approach.
    For each month of Jan – April we’ll pick a round (probably Portsmouth, Bray 1, Bray 2 and Worcester) to shoot that month and just submit your best score. Any session as long as you only have 6 sighter shots (5 for Worcester). As normal it will be both best score and handicap adjusted so submit any indoor scores you have so far so we’re up to date.
  • Membership fees
    The annual fee is £240, payable monthly by a Direct Debit of £20.
    A reduction to £220 is available for family / group membership, or for those wishing to make a one-off payment.The annual fee includes all range fees and hire of equipment for beginners.

    Please note that club membership does not include affiliation to Archery GB. Those wishing to enter competitions and/or make use of Archery GB coaching facilities will need to join Archery GB directly. Details can be provided by the club on request.

    Staffordshire Senior and Junior Open Championships Fita 1440, Metrics I – V, 3rd September 2017.
    Congratulations to Mark Baggott who secured 3rd place with a score of 1037, 1st class h/c overall (bowman for the long metric then it started hammering it down!)

    Congratulations to Mark Baggott who has achieved the Archery GB ‘Master Bowman’ classification for compound Flight archery!
  • St Nicholas Trophy Shoot 2016 Results
    This was held on Sunday 11th December 2016;

  • Archery GB Rules of Shooting, October 2016
    The new Archery GB Rules of Shooting document has been uploaded to the ‘Files’ section, together with a document detailing the rule changes.
  • Tuesday evening shoots
    Please note that with effect from the end of January 2016 there will be no shooting on Tuesday evenings until further notice.

    This is a GNAS record and Rose status two day event featuring York, Hereford and Bristol rounds.

Results

  • Archery GB Target Archery Rankings 2016
    The 2016 rankings can be found on the Archery GB website
  • The 2015 UK Masters, 6th and 7th June
    The format for 2015 was a ranking round, 70m for recurves, 50m for compounds on the Saturday followed by an individual head to head.
    Sunday was the usual Ladies and Gents World Archery 1440 round. Awards for the weekend are based upon all three elements.
